Making ready for #11!

I just had my 11th Grandchild! Of course she is beautiful and all of the wonderful things that a newborn brings into the home. Oh they smell so good. I’m very fortunate that I live in the same house as this beautiful baby. Izabella Jordanne Baxter was born on May 23, 2014. She was 5 lbs. 7 oz. 18 1/2″ long. She looks like a little fairy. I told her parents to watch out because fairies will find these beautiful babies and live a changeling instead. Ha ha! But for a newborn she is very beautiful and her 2 older brothers and sister thinks so to!

Newborn

Family in motion

Yup that is how wiggle they all are most of the time!

I had the opportunity to make her bedding and a few other things such as bibs, burp cloths, several other quilts.  There is just something really fun about preparing for a girl. Maybe it’s the frills and things. But I had a great time and all seemed to turn out without a hitch.

Because her sisters room is pink Mom wanted Izabella’s room to be in the lavender and blues shades.  This is what we came up with.

Crib bedding

Her Mom choose an Owl theme. So cute but not to frilly.

Baby bedding quilt

I took all of Juliette’s old bedding and recovered it. Bumper pads and quilt. Then I tied big lavender bows to hold the bumper pads on.

Up close bedding

If any of you would like instructions on how to recover your old baby bedding just email me and I would be glad to send them to you.

Blessing blanket

I made this darling lavender blanket for Izabella’s blessing day. So flowery. I purchased all fabric from Jo-Ann Fabrics. I hope that you have enjoyed this little dream time post for baby Izabella.

It’s so LOVERLY!
