Sharing New Vintage Finds

Welcome! Thanx for stopping by. Fall is a very busy time for me, I am making items for the boutique that I supply, from Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and soon Christmas as well as blogging, decorating my home and of course shopping for antique and vintage finds and of course tending my 4 grandchildren. I have been so lucky and have found some really cool finds without having to shop to far from home.

I want to share some of those with you.

Here is a great blue vase that has a beautiful gold pheasant on it. I purchased it for $3.00.

As I walked into the boutique that I supply goods for the owner had someone drop off a huge trunk full of vintage sewing and fabrics. She ask me if I would like to have them, well of course, I thought she would hand me a few pieces but instead she handed me the whole trunk of goods. Lucky day!

Have you ever had something for so long that it has become vintage? Now I’m talking to the more mature readers here. LOL I have some cookbooks that I received over 40 years ago, they really are still my favorite recipes.

Here is a lovely worn blue bread box that I got from The Poem House on Etsy. Love, love, love it!

Here is another one of those items that I’ve had for a long time. This tray I won for riding my horse at the State Fair horse show years ago. I like it unpolished the best.

Here is another beautiful find a old butler’s tray. I love the great patina on it. $10.00!

Here is a wonderful casserole dish and gravy boat. They have a great chippy patina. Both of these were only $10.00.

I think that I got my craftiness from my Dad, he never wasted anything. Here he cut the tops off an old worn out pair of boots he wore and put a wood bottom on it. After Dad died I was given some of his leather tools. He received some of these from my great grand father.

I hope that you enjoyed seeing the results from my shopping trip this week. I’ll tell you a little secret. I always seem to be able to find some great things when I shop and I believe it’s because I pray before I go and ask that I will be led to some great finds. It has always worked for me.

Have a beautiful weekend and enjoy it! All is LOVERLY!
