Christmas Hutch

Merry Christmas to all my dear friends! I want to share with you some more of my Christmas vignettes. Here are some fun ideas that I came up with.

In this picture are some vintage Santa mugs that I have had for years. I have kept all of my Christmas decor in neutrals but some times I just have to add some old favorites with traditional Christmas colors like these old Santa mugs.

I started collecting reindeer this year and to my collection I added one from Sweden (where my ancestors are from) and this great metal deer, both from Etsy shops.

I adore this old box and with a little added greenery, feathers, pine cones, and a candle it works perfect on my hutch.

These beautiful bowls with birds on them adds color and more of my heritage from Sweden and Denmark. This time of year I really think about my ancestor and love to add bits and pieces of it to my Christmas decor.

The Christmas plates that I have on my hutch was a gift from my parents years ago. Mom said that know Christmas table should be set with out the proper dishes.

Here is a frontal photo that shows all the shelves. Just a note, I do not like it when Christmas lights take center attention away from all of my Christmas pretties, so I use white stringed lights and tie pieces of tulle in between, they look camouflaged kind of like snow. It just fits in better.

I hope that you enjoyed some of my Christmas vignettes they are so fun to do and I am really enjoying the beauty they bring into my home. Until next time!

  1. Anne, I love that you have things that remind you of your heritage! My heritage on my fathers side is Czechoslovakian. When we visited there about 9 years ago I bought a Nativity. It is one of my most cherished Christmas decorations. Your hutch is beautiful and I like the tuelle idea.

    • Thank you so much dear friend , the holidays bring so much love and thought into our hearts. I wonder what our ancestors were doing this time of year many moons ago. It would be so fun to have a crystal ball to know. Merry Christmas Joanne

  2. The vignettes are just darling and everything looks so cozy in your home for the holidays! The Santa mugs remind me of the ones I used to drink my hot cocoa from at Christmas when I was a little girl. I liked the clever use of the tule to hide the cords and to give a ‘snowy’ look.
