A Violin a Mermaid and a Valentine

Welcome my dear blogging friends! Thank you for visiting. Today I have a potpourri of things to share with you.

I did some Junk’n the other day and found a vintage violin. It was totally unable to make beautiful music anymore many of the pieces were missing. This piece was really needing some love, if it wasn’t able to sing anymore then it could sing through its new coat of paint.

To refinish the little piece I sanded it down really good. Then applied a coat of dove-gray paint. All the paints that I used were left overs.

After the first coat dried I painted son some crackle. The crackle dries really fast about 10 minutes. Then I applied a coat of white paint.

I added the violin to a fun little music vignette on my dressing table. It fit in perfect.

In a past post I showed you my pink mermaid that was going to get a face lift. I used the same techniques that I did with the violin.

I think that she looks pretty amazing.

Lover her scaliness. I think that I ‘ll keep her around for a while.
