Easter Musings

Welcome my friends! I hope that you are all enjoying wonderful Spring weather today. I want to share with you some of my Easter decor that can totally be left out for all of Spring and Summer.

Easter blue eggs

The first thing that I want to share is this perfect picture that one of my daughter in law Stephanie took. She had a pair of Robins nesting in her front yard tree and she took pictures of the progress of the nesting and hatching of the eggs. I love this picture so I leave it out all year.

Easter crown 1

I love to create little nests through out my home. They are pretty easy to make, this one I shaped a nest out of raffia, then added bits of lace, buttons, feathers, twigs and eggs of course. Then stuffed it all into my beautiful metal crown.

Easter nest bowl

I did the same with this sweet nest but I put it in an antique bowl.

Easter nest box

I had some straw stuffing that I used to make this simple nest in an old wood box.

Easter cotton boels

I sprinkle small bird nests just about any where. Some times I’ll leave them be or stuff them with small sea shells.

Easter books

This little nest is make out of twine.

Easter basket

I love baskets, they add a lot of texture in a vignette and they are so Springy. I laid lavender bouquets wrapped in lace in this sweet wire basket then added a pillow with a chicken on it. Super easy.

Easter cookie jar

This darling vintage cookie jar is my newest Easter save. It’s been in several of my neighbors homes as well. Adding a little Peter Rabbit and a small bowl that looks like lettuce just completes this sweet vignette.

Easter bird

I found this little wooden picture several years ago. I kept it as is, it was so perfect. I hope that you enjoyed some of my Easter musings. I would love to hear about what you do special to make your home beautiful for Spring.

Easter bunny

In my area all the kids are home for Spring break. So it’s pretty crazy at my house, trying to find activities to keep four little ones busy. I’m going to take them swimming this week, I’ve not attempted this with an infant before so it should be interesting. What have you been doing for activities for Spring break?

Have a beautiful day!

Hugs,

Jo

  1. All of your little vignettes are so pretty. Love the bird’s nest photo, such a closeup! I really like the one in the basket with the lavender, simple and pretty. Have a blessed Easter1

  2. Jo I love your sweet nests! I like how you added bits of lace. I made a large nest out of my trimmed trumpet vine and I was going to add bits of moss, feathers, etc. Now I can see that I need to add lace. The picture of the nest is gorgeous! I love birds and have lots of them and nests throughout my home as well. Enjoy Spring break with those little ones. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
