Best Butter Cream Frosting

Hello everyone! Today I want to share with you the BEST Butter Cream Frosting recipe that I have ever found. It is so creamy and easy to spread. The taste is superb.

A few weeks ago I had the privilege to made my little grand daughters birthday cake. Her order was it had to have sprinkles inside and frosting was to be purple.

So here is what I ended up doing.

Purple in bowlThis recipe is amazing, it is so easy to spread and taste amazing.
Purple 1 layerI usually bake from scratch but because this confetti cake mix was already on hand I used it. I baked two 9″ cakes. After they were cooled I turned one cake upside down on a cake pedestal that I had. Then I frosted the top.

Purple 2 layer

Next, I put the other cake up right on top of the other cake, frosted the sides and then the top.

For the decorations I went to my little rose garden and picked some sweet light pink roses. I then rinsed them in cool water and made sure that there were no bugs.

Then laid the roses on top of the cake, and put on 4 pink candles. It was so easy, and I had a mighty happy . . .

So sorry the butter is 1 cup.

  3. Thank you for sharing this yummy easy recipe. I usually don’t make homemade frosting, but this looks easy enough. I also know it tastes so much better than store bought. That cake looks so beautiful! I love the purple frosting and the roses on top. What a lucky girl to have that for her birthday!

    • Thank you Kelly for your sweet reply. I do have to say that I made a mistake on the butter amount in the recipe. It’s 1 cup of butter or 2 sticks of butter. So sorry! I would love to have you follow my blog by email. Your blog is amazing and your decorating is so beautifully done. Thank you for your inspiration. Hugs, Jo

  6. What a DARLING photo! So sweet. And hey, don’t apologize about the butter. I’m from Wisconsin and there’s nothing like REAL butter – it’s just not on the menu every day. But that cake looks fantastic! Saw it on Roses of Inspiration. Thanks for the recipe.
