Hello! I just couldn’t stay away any longer. During the time that I was taking a break to heal myself, I have not been idle. I have been very busy, planning and partying! Which is great therapy!

This has really been a month of fun for me and I adore Halloween, so I just had to share some of the decor from a fun Masquerade / 30th Birthday Party that I helped plan for my daughter in law. Let’s take a look.

Masquerade gym

We were able to use the gym and kitchen at our LDS Church chapel. The gym is huge! I thought how are we going to make this not look like a gym? Simple decorate and dim the lights. The table with the purple table cloth was for the birthday girl and her family, the quests sat along the sides. My son had a wonderful DVD made up that showed the birthday girls life, it was shown through out the night.

Masquerade Side table

Here is some of the table decor, and of course most of it came from my little nest.

Masquerade Bird cage

I had a really good time making up these masks, that’s when my creative juices kicked in.  I found the masks at the dollar store for a buck and then all I had to do was embellish them. I made about 12 of these and gave them to friends for Halloween gifts.

Masquerade kids

There was dancing and the children really loved this part, as well as running around a huge gym. There was lots of yummy food as well.

Masquerade friends

We also had a place set up for pictures. Some of the girls wore their wedding dresses, and masks were a must. These girls have all been friends since grade school.

Masquerade family

Here is my sweet family that I live with. . .

Masquerade Jordie and I

. . . here I am with the quest of honor. Jordie wears her wedding dress after having four children C-section. She looks so amazing.

Masquerade cake

Last of all was the birthday cake. What a fun fun evening.

I want to give a special thank you to Stephanie from The Enchanted Rose blog who held an amazing teacup swap. Kathryn Ross from The Writers Reverie blog had my name and she sent me so many amazingly beautiful goodies. Thank you Kathy! If you haven’t been to these blogs check them out they are amazing.

Good to be back!

Hugs, Jo
