Chippy Beauty’s

Today I want to share with you some Chippy Beauty’s that are headed to my shop. Anne’s Attic – design.

I am enjoying my new job so much, but I am really running into a problem and that is I want to keep everything that I redo! lol  I truly have to tell myself that you won’t have anything for the grand opening if keep this up. lol I think this is a problem for me because I redo everything in the beautiful chippy style that I love so much.  Romantic Farmhouse. I have put my foot down and said everything I make goes to the shop and if I decide to keep a piece then I have to replace it with something that I already have. This technique has saved my OCD soul. lol

Here are a few of the projects that I have been working on.

I love the look of Florentine so I gave it a try and I really love it on this old box.

I tried it on a bigger wooden box and loved it even more.

This old drawer was a really fun project. I painted the box a very light blue, then I glued vintage wallpaper on the outer sides, then lined the inside of the drawer with it. I used some old book pages and pictures that I liked from a magazine and then using some Mod Podge to glue them on, I also used some vintage blue and white striped fabric and buttons. Then adding a birds nest and a sweet little bird to finish off the piece. I think this would make a great Mother’s Day gift.   SPRING will becoming before we know it.

  1. You will let go to share with those who love what you create as much as you do-they will be your best customers and keep coming back. Love the jewels you added to the Florentine-look box!

  2. Jo looks like you’re having fun transforming “junk” into au courant treasures. I remember that top box being sold at Pier 1 carved in India many years ago. You took that box and made it fabulous! Keep creating your magic.

  3. lol! Jo, I hear ya! I have that same problem with vintage finds. Joanne wants me to do a booth at Paula’s fleology again in May. I have seen that first box before. Thinking one of my girls has it. lol! Love the make overs! You are one creative gal!

    • Hi Stephanie, I have to apologize for not stopping by since Christmas. With opening the shop, tending grands, and just living life I haven’t be able to spend much time on the computer. Hopefully that will change soon. Have a wonderful Valentine’s weekend. Hugs, Jo

  4. Very talented transformations on all of these objects, Jo! I love the collage box idea! I think I’d like to make something similar that with some photos and items I have saved of my Mother. Thanks for the idea!

  5. Hi Jo. I haven’t been around much, and I’m sorry about that. I’ve been under the weather and consumed with some personal things. Stopped in to see what my creative friend is up to and I see some fabulous things here! I love the Florentine boxes. My goodness, never again will I pass up one of those old boxes like the first one at a thrift store. I remember seeing those everywhere in the 70’s. Your transformation is amazing and inspiring. I love the drawer, too; the birds and the striped fabric. So sweet. It sounds like you are busy and happy. I’m so glad. Hugs, Nancy

  6. The longer I live the more I admire people who are creative like you. I’m busily collecting ideas on Pinterest of things I’d like to do or make. I can definitely be a copycat. 🙂

Thanks again for sharing this at TOHOT.

  7. Jo, you are so creative. Your projects are lovely and I’;m sure they will sell quickly. I am gong to start trying to sell some of my thrift store transformations in my booth. Thank you for sharing your projects at Vintage Charm. Pinned and tweeted. sb

  8. Very unique and pretty pieces. I’m always looking for horizontal decor for my clients to create pretty vignettes. Thanks for sharing at The Creative Circle.
