Shabby Chic Bedroom Reveal

It feels really good to be back blogging. I have much to share through the next few weeks. It seems like whenever I am down with health issues I tend to critique my surroundings and that’s just what I did while taking this break from blogging. I would lay down for a while then get up and work on a project then lay down again. I just have a hard time sitting still, but I tend to get things done that way.

My two sweet granddaughters were thrilled with their new room. It really was fun doing up a frilly room. I have 3 sons so you see there was not a lot of frills in our home when I was raising them.

Jule's bedding

I love Juliette’s bedding. It’s Simply Shabby Chic from Target. It crisp and soft and very durable. The pink and white-flowered sheets go really well with the lovely white and pink floral quilt and sham.

Jules pillows

I made her a couple of throw pillows to go along with the bedding.

One of the things that the girls really wanted was some sort of canopy. So I found two canopy nettings from e-bay for five bucks a piece and then spruced them up a bit.

My family has a 4 month old European Great Dane and he tears up just about anything that he can find. So I tucked the netting behind the headboard so he couldn’t get to them. One evening I walked into my little nest and the pup had found a new bag of batting and had torn it apart everywhere. It was quite the sight. I took great precautions in the girls room so that he couldn’t get to the netting.

I decided not to paint Izabella’s child bed because it won’t be long before she is in a regular size bed. But I bought her a soft crib sheet and made her some fun pillows for her bed.

I am still on the look out for a shelf to hang on the wall by her bed.

There are still a few things that I want to do to the room. But other than that it is complete. Nice and pink for two little girly girls.

Have a wonderful day!
