Welcome everyone to the Creative Christmas linky party! How fun is this to get to inside of everyone’s home at Christmas time. I love going for a drive and looking at the home’s that are already for Christmas. I love seeing their Christmas tree shinning through the front windows, and often wonder what it must look like inside. Continue reading
Welcome, welcome my dear friends!
It seems like I have been away from blogging for ever. I did take a short break while the grandchildren were home for Christmas break and then I made some changes to my blog which took a few days before I could use it. But I am back and roaring to go! I have so much to share with you that I hardly know where to start! After I took down Christmas decor I had a huge long look at my home. I looked at everything at how I was styling my vignettes to the insides of my cupboards. I did not like much what I saw. Being that I have a very fussy landlord I can’t do much with anything structural, which is a bummer, but someday I’ll be in a house of my own. I have a math equation French Nordic design + Shabby Chic design = Romantic Farmhouse. I looked around and realized that I needed to do my decor a little differently.
Junk’n is one of my favorite activities. I do some Junk’n at home on Etsy and some at the great shops around my home. Take a look and see what I scored.
White iron stone was high one my list this year and I found some great pieces at the shops here in Bountiful, UT.
I found a four piece antique copper set. One bowl, a small fry pan, and two different sizes of tea pots. The copper really shines out in my kitchen.
I scored big finding this ornate silver tray.
I found this 100% cotton yarn for three bucks a piece. I should have bought more.
During the holidays a friend of my was headed to drop off somethings to Good Will and ask if I would like to look at them first. One of the pieces she had was a big black aluminum star that had been sitting outside her house. I knew that I could clean, and fix it up great and it looks perfect and my wall.
I found this old gal on an Etsy shop it still had mud and rocks inside of it. But it cleaned up nicely!
For Christmas my Mother gave me this gorgeous sheep skin rug from a Etsy shop from Poland, I have one more on the way! They are so soft and comfortable. I’ve got some more great things and several are on the way, I ‘ll be sharing those with you later.
I just finished a fun project that turned out terrific, it has been an eye sore in my home for quite some time, I’ll be sharing that with you next.
Have a great time redecorating your home after the holiday flurries. January is a really good time to take a good look at a few changes at home. Hoping to inspire you.
Time for some hot chocolate and whip cream and to check out the Etsy shops and eBay.
Thank you dear friends!
