Welcome everyone. I have been very busy with my art and design projects this summer. It’s a good thing that I have this to fill my time because I have been chopping at the bit to repaint some furniture and ready Shabby Lane Cottage for Fall. I told myself that I had to wait a few weeks. It’s just still too hot outside and I don’t want people in my neighborhood to think I am crazy when I start hanging Fall wreaths on the front door! Alas, I have beautiful neighbors! Hi Susan and Kim! They know I can be little crazy at times.
This has been an amazingly beautiful summer. Living on the side of a beautiful mountain range in the North Salt Lake (Bountiful) area is a wonderful place to be. I love having the change of the seasons. I think that is what is most appealing to me about living here. Continue reading →
I can’t believe that summer is almost here and that spring has gone by so quickly. No matter the season though I will always be using lovely pastels in my Romantic Shabby Chic Country Style Cottage. Wow that’s a mouth full! lol I started messing around with a new color that I have fallen head over heels in love with. I shared some of it on my last post and thought that I would share a little bit more of this fabulous color. Continue reading →
Welcome to all of you. I am so happy that you have come to check out my sweet little cottage Shabby Lane. I feel so happy and loved here and just can hardly wait to share it throughout the seasons. Continue reading →

Welcome everyone! I am most grateful to all of you for your support of my blog. It has been a fun road to travel. Meeting new blogging friends has been the best part. I have learned much through many of your blogs on home design and through that I have carved out my own design “Romantic Farmhouse”. For almost forty years I decorated my home in the primitive design. When my nest was empty I wanted my new nest to reflect me not the other five family members that lived with me at the time. Since I was single and ready for a change. I thought that I would show you my little nest through my years of blogging, which will be three years coming up in April. Wow, time goes by so fast! I will be celebrating that with a giveaway so make sure you stop by in April for the details.
